For damping and noise minimization, the timing chain is guided over slide rails made of high-quality plastic. These have a resistant surface coating with high emergency running properties. The slide rails themselves are made of high-performance thermoplastic. The camshaft and crankshaft gears are manufactured with extreme precision. The end tips of the gears are specially shaped and treated to minimize wear. |
