Privacy policy

Thank you for visiting our website. To ensure that you feel safe and comfortable when visiting our website, we would like to inform you below about the handling of your data in accordance with Art. 13 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Person responsible

The organisation named in the legal notice is responsible for the data collection and processing described below.

Storage of the IP address

We store the IP address transmitted by your web browser for a period of seven days in order to be able to recognise, limit and eliminate faults or errors (e.g. attacks on our servers). After this period has expired, we delete or anonymise the IP address. The legal basis is Art. 6 Para. 1 S.1 lit.f GDPR.

Usage data

When you visit our website, so-called usage data is temporarily stored on our web server as a log for statistical purposes in order to improve the quality of our website. This data record consists of

  • the page from which the file was requested,
  • the name of the file,
  • the date and time of the request,
  • the amount of data transferred,
  • the access status (file transferred, file not found),
  • the description of the type of web browser used,
  • the IP address of the requesting computer, which is shortened so that a personal reference can no longer be established.
The aforementioned log data is only stored in anonymised form.

Your personal data

VOLUNTARY INFORMATION:
As a matter of principle, we only collect the data required to initiate or conclude a contract. As we only offer our services to business customers, the personal data is regularly limited to contact details and the facts on which our service is based, which may contain data of data subjects in individual cases..

The provision of further information is voluntary. There are no negative consequences associated with the non-provision of this data.

DATA PROCESSING FOR CONTRACT FULFILMENT:
We process contact data of our contact persons in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR for the purpose of contract fulfilment.

If necessary, personal data will be passed on to the companies involved in the processing of this contract, e.g. credit institutions for payment processing.

The data required to fulfil the contract will be archived for the duration of the contractual relationship and subsequently within the scope of statutory retention periods. After expiry of the statutory retention period, the data will be deleted.

DATA PROCESSING ON THE BASIS OF CONSENT:
If you have given separate consent to be informed by e-mail about the company's own products and services, the corresponding processing is carried out on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR. Your consent can be withdrawn at any time without affecting the lawfulness of the processing carried out to date. If consent is withdrawn, we will cease the corresponding data processing.

Photo and video recordings at VIEROL events

If we take photos, we do so in the interest of illustrating company events and publishing them as part of our corporate communications in the press, on our website and on our company's own social media pages (YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, etc.) as well as in print media (flyers, brochures, etc.). The data processing is based on Art. 6 para. 1 a) GDPR. There is a right of cancellation at any time until publication, which does not affect the processing until the cancellation is made. To exercise your right of cancellation, please follow this link: revoke here

Data transfer to third parties

We transfer your data to service providers who support us in the operation of our websites and the associated processes as part of order processing in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR. Our service providers are strictly bound by our instructions and are contractually bound accordingly. We use the following service providers: e.g. Google Analytics from Google LLC, CleverReach GmbH & Co. KG, WebServ IT GbR, GetResponse S.A., Hetzner Online GmbH

Data transfer to third countries

In some cases, we transfer personal data to a third country outside the EU. We have ensured an adequate level of data protection in each case.

In the case of Google Analytics, Google Maps and Google reCaptcha (USA), an adequate level of data protection results from the corresponding participation in the Privacy Shield Agreement (Art. 45 (1) GDPR).

Cookies

We use cookies on our websites. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your end device and can be read. A distinction is made between session cookies, which are deleted as soon as you close your browser, and permanent cookies, which are stored beyond the individual session. Cookies can contain data that makes it possible to recognise the device used. In some cases, however, cookies only contain information on certain settings that are not personally identifiable.

We use session cookies and permanent cookies on our websites. The processing is carried out on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR and in the interest of optimising or enabling user guidance and adapting the presentation of our website.

You can set your browser to inform you about the placement of cookies. This makes the use of cookies transparent for you. You can also delete cookies at any time via the corresponding browser setting and prevent the setting of new cookies. Please note that our websites may then not be displayed optimally and some functions may no longer be technically available.

Google Analytics

We create pseudonymised user profiles with the help of Google Analytics in order to design our website in line with requirements. Google Analytics uses cookies that are stored on your end device and can be read by us if you consent to the setting of cookies. With your consent, you enable us to recognise and count you as a returning visitor. Data processing is carried out on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. a GDPR.

If you give your consent, the information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. However, since we have activated IP anonymisation on this website, your IP address will be shortened by Google beforehand within member states of the European Union. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA (an adequate level of data protection is provided by Google's participation in the Privacy Shield in accordance with Art. 45 para. 1 GDPR) and only shortened there. We have also concluded an order processing contract with Google Inc (USA) in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR. Google will therefore only use all information strictly for the purpose of analysing the use of our website for us and compiling reports on website activity.

You can object to this processing at any time. Please use one of the following options:

You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser, however please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website.

You can also prevent Google from collecting the data generated by the cookie and relating to your use of the website (including your IP address) and from processing this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at the following link https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en.

Contact form

You have the option of contacting us via a web form. To use our contact form, we need your name and e-mail address. You can provide further information, but this is not mandatory.

We use the information you provide when contacting us on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR or Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR in the interest of being able to answer your enquiry as easily, quickly and in a customer-friendly manner as possible. Your data will only be processed to answer your enquiry and will be deleted immediately afterwards. Your data will not be passed on to third parties.

Use of Google reCaptcha in the contact form

We use the Google reCaptcha service to determine whether a person or a computer is making a specific entry in our contact form. Google uses the following data to check whether you are a human or a computer IP address of the end device used, the website that you visit on our site and on which the captcha is integrated, the date and duration of the visit, the identification data of the browser and operating system type used, Google account if you are logged in to Google, mouse movements on the reCaptcha areas and tasks in which you have to identify images. The legal basis for the described data processing is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. We use reCaptcha out of a legitimate interest in ensuring the security of our website.

Online shop

We store and use your personal data that you transmit to us in the course of an order process on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR exclusively for the processing of your orders. We use your e-mail address for notifications regarding the status of your order.

Newsletter

We offer you the option of subscribing to our newsletter on our website. If you have given us your separate consent to inform you by email about our company's own products and services, the corresponding processing is carried out on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR. By subscribing to a newsletter, you consent to newsletter tracking. If you subscribe to the newsletter, we can track your user behaviour, which means, for example, that you have opened the newsletter. You can withdraw your consent at any time without this affecting the lawfulness of the processing carried out to date. If consent is withdrawn, we will cease the corresponding data processing and will no longer send you newsletters.

Data security

To protect your data from unauthorised access, we use an encryption process on our website. Your data is then transmitted from your computer to our server and vice versa via the Internet using 128-bit TLS encryption (Transport Layer Security). You can recognise this by the fact that the lock symbol in the status bar of your browser is closed and the address line begins with https://.
